In other games, for example WoW, they didn't have storage either. The method used though could be applied to a storage area. In WoW usually the leader made a special character that held guild items in a bank (would be an actual storage area). If anything wanted to be withdrawn, they literally had to go through the guild leader to get anything out. That would probably be the best thing, but also the guild leader might be a looter too. I like Lets Get to Healing's method. Many possible solutions, but also a lot of possible problems that would have to be sorted out first.

You could also have a system where the items put in and taken out of storage are "logged" ...eg: Player A has put 1 jade into storage, Player B has removed 100 ecto from storage....then you would know who put the things in, and who took them out...and if need be you could deal with those who remove things without permission.
Or you could set limits on what can be taken out (like only 10 of an item per player per day...) unless you have an officer ok a higher amount.
Just some ideas.

Im not sure what anyone would put in this storage anyways? I mean, from my expeirence, after creating 6 PvE and 4 Pre-made PvP (2 accounts) After a while, i stopped picking up everything I could find. If it wasnt max damage with a decent damange mod i wouldnt pick it up. Im not sure how anyone else is, but my necro has an entire bag slot emtpy, my warrior has maybe 3 or 4 slots (due to 3 armor sets). Is it just me or do i just not care about pick ups?

The main point of a guild storage that I've seen, is a place for people to put things they don't need, that newer players might need, like low level gear and supplies etc.

Sod guild storage, I want a way to place bags into my storage. Each bag+rune of holding = 10 slots per storage slot. Now that can't be too hard to implement.

Many of my members change there armor frequently and collect materials for that purpose. I even know of 1 member that has 20 of every dye. I myself collect collector drops for some weapons. I think storage is more pratical for this.

As in other games,

Anyone could deposite, but only the guild leader could withdrawl.

This is mainly used for things thast have little value to most players, but good value to newbies...like minor runes and normal crafting mats.

I like the idea where the guild leader designates who has access. There always will be a risk of a loot operation but I doubt storage is meant for storing 200 ectos and things. Its for the people that get something and say meh don't want it don't need money from it but could be useful. I have 5 ittemas in my sotrage I would gladly give away to guildies but Im not going to spam it everytime someone gets on :P

Or it'll be useful for putting all our masks in and other useless, but sentimental junk. Tengu Mask was great for about 5-minutes I got it, but now, bleh. I wouldn't really mind if someone just took off with it. Kind of doing me favor since I'm attached since I had to wait for the Emperor thinking it'd be something great.

If that happens to you it's your own fault...this is why mine consits of <10 players.

Besides GS will likely be leader/officer only

Then he will get the message when he gets online, and Guildie B will have the item in his inventory afterwards, even is he gets on later.
Otherwise you could just as well trade.

Might be a good idea to split it up into 2 parts:

- officers + leader part only, for those more costly items
- all members, for materials and runes and not so valuable items.

everyone is allowed to store, of course.

Another idea is to make it so you have to buy it, just like the other guild hall services, and get like 20 slots, and be able to expand it with extra slots for, say, 1k each (10 slots for 10k). Just an idea.
